2009 Foods Kids Love Williams Great American Chili Recipe Contest
Here are the recipe winners from the "Foods Kids Love" category of the Williams Great American Chili Recipe Contest. They are foods that taste so good they will be enjoyed by both kids and parents. They are nutritious, and are easy enough to prepare. Children can practically prepare them by themselves!
Each of these recipes are "kid approved" as they were submitted by children from across the country, plus the winner was selected by children. About 180 fifth and sixth grade students at Walnut Grove Elementary School, in Olathe, Kansas, selected the winners. They all tasted each of the four finalists and cast their vote for their favorite.

2009 Great American Chili Recipe Contest Winners
Once again this year, we asked the visitors at the Williams Lenexa Chili Challenge to vote for their favorite chili from our four finalists. It was one of the closest races we've had in years. The ballots were counted three times just to make sure of the final results.
Being "A judge" seems to be a really fun time as many people say they come back to vote every year. Each participant samples all 4 chilis - A, B, C & D, then vote for their favorite. These 4 finalists were chosen from the hundreds of entries received.
Since the voting was so close, you may want to try them all!
