ENCAPSULATED SPICES
or Cap Sol Spices

Cap Sol spices are single-strength extracts designed to replace ground spices on a pound-for-pound basis. They are made from pure spice extracts and manufactured by an encapsulation process designed for maximum shelf life. Cap Sol's can be stored for up to 2 years (or more in many cases) and still maintain their full flavor strength and quality.

Due to the processing, they are essentially bacteria-free enzyme-free, and have none of the objectionable problems of ground spices such as insect fragments and other contaminants. When added to a liquid food product, they immediately release their total flavor to produce a uniform and consistent flavor that will not change with age, as is often the case with ground spices due to gradual flavor release.

Except where specified, Cap Sol spices are standardized to single strength with dextrose. Users of C.S. spices may label them as "natural flavoring".
